The internet is buzzing with the story of the Mom Whose Car was saved while she was in the ER with her Baby, but this wasn’t the only Random Act of kindness that came out of the Barrie, Ontario Facebook Group – The NEW Barrie Mom’s Everything Buy and Swap as of late.
Sandy’s Boys with Their Stuffies
Casey Lamoureux, a Mother of 4, from Barrie Ontario was perusing the buy and swap site one evening, when she noticed a plea from a mother, whose sons had lost their stuffed animals in an art store in a local mall.
Sandy, a Mother of four who runs a Facebook page called “Maybe it’s not ADHD” a page devoted to supporting Mother’s who are feeling helpless and like medication is the only way to go, posted a plea for help in having her son’s stuffed animals returned.
Casey, who works at the mall, decided then that she would be more than happy to help. Casey responded to the post with: “I work there. I will go in tomorrow please pm me in the morning to remind me” and “Sandy. I will check first thing in the morning and if not there I’ll go to guest services and grab them. I can either hold them at my store if I find them (Danier) or bring them to my house for you”
Ultimately, Casey found “Leashy and Ted” for Sandy and her boys. What she did next though, was beyond helpful, it was downright creative, heartfelt and hilarious.
Not only did Casey keep “Leashy and Ted” safe and sound, she took them on many adventures with her through out her work day, while posting these updates on the Buy and Swap page for Sandy to show her boys!
Sandy wrote in between photos: “Casey you are the best. My boys are loving these pics. They noticed the stickers on their paws lol. You are amazing”
Casey put a lot of effort into sharing these updates all day, to keep Sandy’s boys comfortable with their stuffed animal’s well being! Until, at last they were reunited!

Members of the Buy and Swap page flocked to the post to tell Casey how amazing she was, and what’s truly is amazing is Casey’s response to the all the praise for her amazing actions.
Casey said: “For anyone who was touched by this… Please challenge yourself to do something for a stranger. I do not want recognition for this, but would love to challenge all of you to so something special for someone you don’t know. I would love to hear about it too!”
When asked about her feelings in regard to this experience sandy stated: “I feel blessed. I feel overwhelmed by the compassion from a stranger. She proved that beautiful people do exist. I’m happy my family lives here now! I made the right choice by moving to Barrie and this was proof!”
Let’s all take Casey’s Challenge, shall we!?
