My family has always loved LeapFrog. Always. So when we got the chance to try out the new and awesome LeapFrog LeapBands, we literally JUMPED at the chance… which is good, because that is part of the point of the LeapBands, to get you moving! 

Little man and Baby girl both got their own. Little Man had the blue one, and his thoughts are below. Baby Girl had the Pink one, and her thoughts will be included with Baby Girl’s LeapBand Review. 

First, let me tell you that I love the way they look. The LeapBands are super cute.

After we opened them, the first thing we did was head over to the LeapFrog website and download LeapFrog Connect for the LeapBand so that we had the proper stuff installed. Downloading LeapFrog Connect was easy peasy and only took a few seconds. 

Little Man’s Thoughts on the LeapFrog LeapBand

Little Man was so happy when he saw these! He had actually seen them advertised before we received them, and expressed how much he would love to try the LeapBand! The recommended age for the LeapBand is 4-7 and Little man is 6 so he fits right into that age category! 

Little Man set to work right away and selected a pet. Of course, knowing our family, Little Man selected a Dragon! There were 8 others to choose from but as soon as he saw that there was a Dragon he was SOLD. In fact he said: “Mommy! LOOK A DRAGON! That’s what I am picking!” 

Little man LOVES “Pet Chef” where he could play and get healthy food items! He also loves the Pet Boogie, which was a dancing game that he particularly loved to boogie on down with!  Little man was enthralled with the Pet Salon game, which taught proper hygiene. 

Little Man was in love with the challenges, (there are 14 pre-installed in your LeapBand.) He laughed hysterically the first time he heard “Pop Like Popcorn!” 

Little Man loves his LeapBand, and challenging his sister to see who can make their energy bars move faster around the LeapBand! 

My Thoughts on the LeapFrog LeapBand

When it comes to the LeapBand, I am in love with the parental controls! Using the Parental controls I was able to set the LeapBand to lock during school hours, so it becomes a watch, but doesn’t disturb anyone at school and still tracks his activity to display once the LeapBand is unlocked at the end of the day! 

I also like the parental tracking, it allows parents to see just how much activity your children participate in daily!
