Google Nexus 7 Tablet Review

Hi there! I am so excited to announce that we got a Google Nexus 7 Tablet! I have always wanted a tablet of my own. I just feel so special when I say: “I have a tablet.” Not only does it make me feel special but it makes my life easier when it comes to my social media accounts and keeping my work in line on the go. Seriously, I have used other tablets in the past and sometimes they can be confusing and weird, or heavy and awkward…

But not this awesome guy. Nope, the Google Nexus 7 Tablet is something you won’t ever want to leave home without, and thankfully you won’t have to! Not only is it light weight and compact, but it’s also easily stored.

It Looks Pretty…

Upon unpacking this baby and seeing it with my own eyes for the very first time….. I fell in love at first sight. Seriously, this little beauty almost gave me those first date jitters! It’s so SOFT and sleek! Once I was over being twitterpated with my fancy new tablet… I then decided I was surprised by the size! The Google Nexus 7 Tablet is just a little under 8″ in Height and just under 5″ inches wide! It’s a great size to hold in your hand! It’s also not very thick either as it measures in at only .34″ in thickness. Carrying it around is easy too considering it weighs only .64 of a pound… and I am a weakling… so…. that’s perfect for me.

Once I turned it on I was even more in love. The screen, which is 7 inches, is Just beautiful. The picture is amazing. The LCD screen’s resolution is 1920 x 1200, which helps to make it so beautiful you won’t know what hit you.

Why I Will Probably Never Get it Back…

See, as some of you know my Husband is a bit of a gamer. Just a little. Ok, no… a lot! He wanted to try it out, so of course trying to be a nice person and share…I let him. MISTAKE #1. Once held this little beauty in his hands he didn’t want to put it down…. then he asked if he could download one of his game apps on it. MISTAKE #2… I said yes. Husband keeps raving about the speed of the tablet, and how fabulous it is… He seems to really like it. The picture looks amazing too! Perfect for watching movies or playing games. Now it’s hard to pry it away from him.

Why I WANT IT BACK…

This tablet is perfect to use when skyping Family and Friends and I have found it very convenient to set up with all the apps! I also like to have something way more compact and easy to use than a laptop when interacting on my social media networks. I had installed twitter, facebook and Pinterest in a matter of minuets and was using my tablet to update my social media platforms right away. I love using it to keep in touch with people, it is far more convenient than a laptop, especially with kids running around.

I also love the camera! It can take fabulous 360 Degree images as well as beautiful panoramic pictures. It also has a front and back camera. The front camera is a 1.2 Megapixel camera and the back is a 5 Megapixel camera. The only thing camera wise that I found hard to deal with was the lack of a flash, which led to some pretty grainy pictures in the wrong lighting, however, I am in love with the features that it does have.

I am also in love with the battery life. I can’t get over how long this thing holds a charge! It’s perfect for regular use and charging it is easy peasy.

Google It…

I am a huge fan of Google, and who isn’t? I use google for a lot of different things! All my e-mail accounts are Gmail, I use Google + for business and I use Google Chrome on my laptop for my Internet browser, I also use the Google Play Store on my Android phone so using this tablet was pretty easy and familiar from the get go.

Easy To Connect…

It is also very super easy to connect your Nexus 7 Tablet to the internet using the built in Wi-Fi connection. You can also connect it to your other devices using the HDMI and USB ports. I love to hook the tablet up to my stereo and play some music! That, or I can use the speakers that are built into the tablet to play some music (or hubby can hear his game) on the go.

I’ve been in the market for a tablet also. I have an iPad but find it difficult to blog on as well as no flash drives me nuts! I agree that having a tablet is much more convenient than having a laptop around with kids running around the house! Will have to check it out.

I love having a tablet around the house, we use them all the time. Netflix for the kids, looking up recipes in the kitchen for me, and watching the game highlights for Hubs.
