Cooking with Cavendish From the Farm Potatoes

Recently I was lucky enough to be chosen to be part of the Cavendish From The Farm Blog Tour. I love to cook. I mean, LOVE. But sometimes after a long day, I just don’t feel like cooking an 8 course meal.

Cavendish From the Farm Potatoes are harvested from the rich red soil of PEI. That’s right… Proudly Canadian…. Which is another thing that I love just about as much as I love to cook, and eat. We decided to try The Cavendish From the Farm Homestyle Potato Wedges and make them in a really simple, yummy, casserole!

This is what Little Man and I came up with…

Super Loaded Cavendish Homestyle Potato Wedge Casserole

Stuff You Need

  • 1 Package Cavendish From The Farm Homestyle Potato Wedges
  • 3 Cups Chopped Precooked Ham
  • 10 Slices of Crispy Bacon, Crumbled
  • 1 Chopped Medium Sized Red Pepper
  • 1 Chopped Medium Sized Green Pepper
  • 1.5 Cups Chopped Green Onion
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 3/4 Cup Sour Cream

What To Do

  1. Preheat your oven to 375.
  2. Place your Cavendish From the Farm Homestyle Potato Wedges along the bottom of a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
  3. Place in oven and bake for approximately 10 minuets until potato wedges have thawed.
  4. Remove from oven and top with half the Ham, Bacon, Red and Green Pepper and Green Onions. Sprinkle with 1.5 Cups of cheese and sprinkle with the remaining ham, bacon, and peppers. Add remaining Cheese.
  5. Bake in oven for 15-20 Minuets until cheese has melted and began to crisp.
  6. Remove from oven, let stand 5 minuets.
  7. Serve topped with Sour Cream and chopped green onion.
It was super delish! This was great on a super cold northern kind of day in Canada! I love how easy these wedges were to work with and how they didn’t seem to carry that frozen flavor that other types of frozen wedges carry, they weren’t soggy and I love that they still had the skin on them. I can’t wait to keep using these!
