Want some ways to celebrate your anniversary? Check it out! Recently, my Husband and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary! We wanted to do something that could be romantic, but also relaxing and exciting.
We got tickets to go see Deep Purple at Casino Rama‘s Entertainment Centre. My hubby and I wanted to invite his Dad, as Deep Purple is one of his favourites too! I love Deep Purple and my late father (who passed away when I was 13), loved them too so I wanted to share this with my Father In law.
We checked into the Casino Rama Hotel, to wait for my Father in Law to come meet us, and again, were beyond impressed. I love how clean and welcoming they are. Last time, I jumped onto the huge King Size bed and watched some TV while Hubby showered, but this time, this time was our 5th anniversary and I wanted to feel a little “Sex and the City” like. So, we called down to room service and I ordered myself a Cosmopolitan Martini and ran myself a bubble bath. The room service came quickly and I hopped into the deep tub, I could have stayed in there for days.
Once I was done my “Sex in the City” moment, we went downstairs to meet my Father in Law to check him into his room. As we were waiting, we stopped at the Firestarter Lounge for a drink!
When my Father in Law arrived, He was so impressed with the room. He loved how huge and firm the mattress was, as he has severe back problems. It was perfect for him.
We hung out in his room for a little while, watching TV and relaxing and then got ready to go downstairs to St. Germain’s for Dinner, which is where we went the last time we visited Casino Rama. I couldn’t help myself, it was our anniversary and we were craving those scallops, in fact, it was almost mandatory that my Father in Law try them. Dinner was fantastic, and we had a great time relaxing together and enjoying ourselves. Dinner at St. Germain’s Steakhouse in Casino Rama is always amazing and this time was no different!
After dinner, it was time to go into the Entertainment Centre and see Deep Purple. What a show! We left happy! I have to be honest, at one point I looked over at my Father in law enjoying the show and was overcome with emotion. Hubby looked at me and could tell I was getting choked up so he took my hand and squeezed. He is really my rock. Casino Rama’s Entertainment Centre is spectacular, every show we see there just blows my mind!
Once Deep Purple was over, we headed our own ways. Hubby and I went upstairs and watched a bit of TV and then headed down to the Cedar Restaurant in Casino Rama, to have a few munchies before we headed back up to settle in for the night.
We slept like babies that night, those beds are seriously my favorite and I want to take one home with me. Even the darned blankets are like sleeping under fluffy warm clouds. We woke to the alarm going off and headed downstairs for breakfast with my Father in Law at the Weirs. Breakfast was fantastic, in fact, we ordered the exact same thing we ordered last time! We love The Weirs Restaurant at Casino Rama!
After breakfast, Hubby and I headed to our Appointments at the Balance in Life Spa on the second floor. Hubby was scheduled for a 90 min massage and I was scheduled for a Mani/Pedi. Seriously, phenomenal.
