Family Safety Apps- React Mobile

Family safety is of utmost importance for everyone! Finding Family Safety Apps to enhance the safety of your family, can turn your mobile phone into a safety device. Recognizing the importance of family safety, our family is quite excited to introduce React Mobile’s NEW Family Safety App!

WHAT IS REACT MOBILE™?

React Mobile helps you turn your smartphone into a powerful lifeline. The app has a “Follow Me” feature, that let’s your self selected contacts track your whereabouts in real-time whenever you’re concerned for your safety. Perfect for running or walking alone early in the morning or late at night, keeping track of kids, or meeting a client for the first time, simply touch the “I’m Safe” button to let your contacts know when you’ve arrived at your destination safely. In an emergency, press the SOS shield on the app to send out a panic alert containing a link to your GPS location to select emergency contacts via text message and email, which can optionally be posted to Facebook and Twitter. Once the SOS alert is activated, you’re automatically prompted to dial 911. For users outside of North America, the app allows you to choose which country you live in (or are traveling to) from the settings tab and when an SOS alert is triggered, you will be prompted to dial the appropriate emergency authority depending on you’re geographic location (ex: in the UK the app will prompt a user to dial 112/999 not 911).

React Mobile recently introduced a new custom branding service that allows organizations to have their very own branded security app to share with their members.

How It Works

React Mobile offers two separate levels of protection. This app features a fabulous built in GPS feature referred to as “Follow Me”. This feature allows for friends or family in your list of contacts to follow your location in “Real Time”, which could prove to be extremely beneficial in many different situations. Let your contacts know that you are not in an emergency situation, but want someone to know your location. Using the “Follow Me” feature when walking home, or to a friends house alone, leaving work late, or just traveling through an unknown to you territory, not only makes one feel safer, but also helps friends and family to lower their concern levels about your safety as well.

A Great feature of the “Follow Me” feature is that you can set how long you want the location signal sent out to your contacts. Upon reaching “safety” again, you can use the “I am Safe” button to turn the tracking feature off.

Another amazing feature is the “Send SOS” option. If you choose to send out an “SOS”, this app will alert people in your list of contacts that you require immediate assistance as you are in danger. Equipping the “SOS” option will also open a menu that prompts you to dial “911” or emergency number for your area, with the tap of a button. You can also post the need for assistance on Facebook or Twitter.

The Best Part of this awesome app, is that your safety comes at no cost to you. Yes, this app is not only awesome… but also Free.

The world is a very scary place! I love that this app makes you feel safe and connects you to help quickly! My husband likes to go for late night jogs and although he’s a man and not tiny, I still worry about him! I feel much safer when he has this on him!

Very interesting. I bet something like this will come in handy once my boys are a little older.

I think this app is a GREAT idea. I haven’t tried it yet but I’d love too.

Thanks for the head’s up about this app–I’m planning to download it! When I was a teenager I had a safety alarm, that would give off a deafening siren if I pressed the panic button. However, it was not hooked up to a mobile so would not have been effective in a situation where I was in a remote location. I like how this dials for help.

This is a really terrific app Jen and one I plan to use for my family. I leave work late at night every so often and get very nervous. You can not put a price on piece of mind..
